Through Baemin Rider School, Delivery Hero is strengthening rider safety and capability, supporting a more professional, resilient and sustainable delivery ecosystem.
As delivery demand grows, ensuring rider safety and professional standards has become critical to the long-term success of the platform economy. For riders operating in complex urban environments, access to high-quality, practical training can make a meaningful difference by improving safety, confidence and performance on the road.
Woowa, Delivery Hero’s brand in South Korea, is addressing this through Baemin Rider School, a dedicated training program designed to equip riders with the skills needed to deliver safely and effectively. As the industry’s only specialized safety and delivery training institution focused on two-wheeled vehicles, the program plays a key role in raising standards across the sector.

Since its launch, Baemin Rider School has evolved into a comprehensive, hands-on training model. In 2025, the program reached a new milestone with the opening of a fourth-generation training facility in Hanam, featuring an 8,000m2 site with an indoor delivery training hall that simulates real road conditions, alongside a VR-based safety experience zone.
The program offers a structured curriculum covering motorcycle safety, maintenance, first aid training and mental health support. This ensures riders are prepared not only for the physical demands of delivery, but also for broader wellbeing challenges. Training is continuously updated to reflect real-world conditions, with practical exercises such as riding on wet or uneven surfaces to replicate everyday risks.
In 2025 alone, 5,631 riders completed the program, bringing the total number of graduates to more than 23,400. Satisfaction scores remain high at 9.7 out of 10, reflecting the program’s relevance and quality.
"Even after eight years of delivery work, the program is challenging and professional. I learned a lot."

The impact extends beyond individual riders. By improving safety, skills and confidence, Baemin Rider School contributes to a more reliable and professional delivery ecosystem – supporting better service quality for customers and stronger operational standards across the platform.
As part of Delivery Hero’s wider approach, this initiative demonstrates how investment in people and skills helps strengthen the foundations of the platform economy. By equipping riders with the tools and training they need, Delivery Hero is enabling safer, more sustainable growth across its network.
